Harlech Television Mysteries Solved + AvengerNews service
Thanks to Neil Alsop for dropping me a line to explain a few of the questions we had raised about how the Tara King series aired in the Harlech region. Very helpful, Neil. Thank you.

Also, some recent visitors may have noticed the link to AvengerNews has vanished. This is intentional as I have realised that I simply do not have the time available to keep up with Avengers news stories. The pages are still there, so old links will still work, but the page will no longer be updated. My apologies to anyone disappointed about this, but I suggest it is much easier to keep up with developments by joining and reading The Avengers Fan Forum. Dropping AvengerNews will mean I can concentrate on the research projects for this site that I find more interesting.

The Avengers Dead Man's Treasure Hunt 2011 25th Anniversary Event

Are you a fan of The Avengers and other cult TV series of the 1960s and 70s?

Then why not join The Avengers Dead Man's Treasure Hunt for a weekend of fun and games around those fantastic series? 2011 will mark the 50th Anniversary of The Avengers and the 25th Anniversary of the Dead Man's Treasure Hunt, which is why the DMTH is planning to celebrate in style!

The event will take place at The Edgwarebury Hotel, a 4 Star Hotel in the heart of Avengerland (which you may remember seeing in the episode Wish You Were Here), on the weekend of Friday 8th Sunday 10th of July 2011. It includes a tour of locations featured in The Avengers and similar shows and a jolly evening of fun and frolics. As always, Sunday morning will be devoted to the Treasure Hunt itself, followed by a well-earned lunch, before the weekend concludes around 4pm.

If you're interested and want to know a little more, please e-mail DMTH at:

deadmanstreasurehunt@gmail.com

Registration has already begun, but there are still a few spaces left.

Please note that this is a small-scale not-for-profit event, organised by fans for other afficionados, which has been running for 25 years now. Oh, and in case you're wondering: You're NOT expected to turn up in fancy dress!

Saturday 14th May 2011 Episode Guide: Wish You Were Here
The Tara King episode Wish You Were Here has had an episode guide page added for it today. This contains a decent amount of previously unpublished production information.

Friday 13th May 2011 The Avengers: The Complete 50th Anniversary Collection
This newly released complete DVD set has been added to Little Wonders today. The particularly good news is that, as promised by StudioCanal, this set contains corrected versions of all the problematic discs from the individual sets (I know I've checked them by hand, myself). Additionally, the Series 6 episode, Legacy of Death (which had a picture fault on the Series set) is also fixed in the complete set. I trust that StudioCanal will make an announcement shortly regarding how those people with faulty versions from The Complete Series 6 may obtain replacements.

Wednesday 5th January 2011 Little Wonders Updated
First off, a Happy New Year to all visitors and contributors to The Avengers Declassified. Sorry for the gaps in updates recently I've been feeling somewhat burned out after eighteen months of living The Avengers day and night producing content for StudioCanal's DVD range. I'm slowly going to get back into the swing of things here and this starts today with updates to the Little Wonders section. Julian Knott has kindly sent a scan of the Lumiere Volume 26 cover, which has been added to UK VHS. I've also added details of StudioCanal's Series 6 release to UK DVD and the recently released Kinowelt 'complete' set to German DVD, complete with some lovely photos! Also... I have added a short biographical note regarding director Guy Verney, to Tunnel of Fear, his sole Avengers credit.
