Bowler Hat and Country Seats 2011 Calendar
My wife Alys has photographed and compiled a 2011 Calendar of
Avengers filming locations so we had something to stick on the wall
in the absence of an official calendar. After completing it, we
thought that perhaps other Avengers fans might be interested also,
so we've made it available via Lulu.com. The photographs are all
Alys' own work and the calendar is completely unofficial. It's full
colour and printed by Lulu and despatched by them. Alys has made two
variants one with UK holiday dates and another with US dates.
Otherwise they are identical. Please take a look and if you
purchase, you'll be helping to keep us in food and drink over the

The Avengers DVD Set 4+5 Series 5+6 OPTIMUM ANNOUNCEMENT
"AVENGERS SERIES 5 AUDIO ISSUE
It has come to our attention that the audio of all the Avengers
Series 5 episodes and one episode (THE FORGET-ME-KNOT on Disc One)
of Series 6 carries a pitch level that some people may feel is too
high. We recognise that some viewers are dissatisfied with the
current audio as it stands and so we have returned to each of the
effected episodes and pitch shifted the sound throughout to a lower
level that has now addressed the concerns raised.
The revised versions of the episodes will be ready from the
beginning of January 2011 and if you wish to replace your current
Series 5 discs and Disc One of Series 6 please send the your current
discs (separate from the original packaging) with your return
address and we will endeavour to return the new versions to you
within two weeks from the beginning of January.
Please return your discs to:

The Avengers DVD Set 4 Series 5 OPTIMUM ANNOUNCEMENT SERIES
"Since the release of The Avengers Series 5 box-set,
StudioCanal have received a small number of complaints about
the audio pitch levels on some of the episodes. This series was
extensively restored from the original materials by some of the
leading French technical labs. We are currently investigating the
extent of this issue with them and should have more news soon. While
these checks are carried out, The Avengers 50th Anniversary
box-set has been put on temporary hold."

Coming soon from Titan Books
Many thanks to Tom Green at Titan Books for sending us the
following press release about their hotly-anticipated The
Avengers A Celebration: 50 Years of a Television Classic,
written by Marcus Hearn with a foreword by Patrick Macnee. In
addition to Marcus' text (which can be relied upon to be of a high
standard), the book is lavishly illustrated with many rare
photographs and stylishly designed. It's been a good few years since
the last book on the subject and with the 50th Anniversary just
around the corner, this will undoubtedly prove to be a most welcome
addition to any Avengers fan's collection. This book comes highly
recommended by The Avengers Declassified.

16th September 2010 The Lowdown on the Reconstructions
I thought that since my merry band and I have been producing
Series 1 reconstructions for pretty much a year now, it was high time
that the project was documented. To this end, I have written an
account today and it can be found
here. Having been so close to the project, there are probably
things people would like to know that I've overlooked, so if you're
curious about anything (or can supply materials that might help the
project continue), please
drop me a line.

August 2010 More Piracy!
No sooner than I have added a section to Little Wonders

therefore we have another
unlicensed page for that country.

photographs taken by my wife Alys on the

Since we are both working hard on reconstructions of Series 1 episodes
for the StudioCanal DVDs, there was a certain thrill to standing where it
all started nearly fifty years ago!

Aha!!! Suddenly It Makes Sense!
Further poring over the camera script and Tele-Snaps for Toy
Trap have lead to a 'eureka moment' when suddenly one big
problem with the episode's narrative concerning the character of
Meyer suddenly fell into place. Therefore, the story in depth page for
this episode has been revised to take this into account. A few extra
details have been added as well. Also, the
episode guide page now includes
information of the exact dates when this story was set.

upon the camera script.
21st July 2010 Hot Snow Revisited Again!
Trying to nail the ending of Hot Snow is becoming
something of an obsession for me. The camera script is very sketchy
indeed for those scenes but reading the script for the subsequent
episode, Brought to Book, has given some further detail. The
in-depth page has been
amended as a result. Also today, one of the kinkiest Avengers
photos ever has been added to the Stage
Show gallery. I don't think it'll take long for you to spot which
one I mean... ...Thanks also to Trevor Dorman for sending some Little

15th July 2010 The Avengers Declassified is Back, But Not Quite
Up to Speed!
It's been a problematic few weeks for The Avengers
Declassified... My trusty old PC ended up being not as trusty as
usual, and died... taking with it a lot of data, most of which I'm
trying to imagine wasn't important... Anyway, I'm back, with a new
computer, but there are still teething problems. I can't get my web
editor of choice, Microsoft Frontpage to run under Windows 7, or at
least not fully, so I'll be investing in a new web creation program. I
suppose I've got a good 7 years out of Frontpage, not to mention the
old computer... For this reason, updates will be sporadic for a little
while, and probably not that ambitious!
A couple of important
announcements: firstly, if you've sent anything to be included at
Declassified over the last few months and it's not been added already,
please re-send if you are able. Your email will have been lost.
Secondly, StudioCanal have announced a replacement programme for
2 discs from their Series 4 release, and you can read about that on

More Series 1 In Depth Kill the King!
Apologies for the tumbleweeds blowing by here lately. It's
certainly not due to my putting my feet up. The last month has been
exceptionally busy, producing two further Avengers Series 1
episode reconstructions for StudioCanal's superb DVD range. These are now
completed and delivered and I have a short breather before moving on
to the next project for them. This has allowed me to find time to make
up pages for one of the two episodes which has been reconstructed
Kill the King. I've produced a standard
episode guide page and an
synopsis. Many thanks to Dave Matthews, Dave Rogers and Piers
Johnson for their help with the reconstructions and with the pages
produced regarding Kill the King for Declassified.
